Seminar Description
In this live seminar we take a deep dive into the tune “In A Sentimental Mood”. We start with the basic arrangement and then we discuss reharmonisation, fills, and improvisation.
Making my way through this…. slowly; but FYI: Eddie Higgins’ solo version is also on Amazon music.
And while you’re there: My One and Only Love.
Yes that’s a wonderful recording also!
Can you talk more about diatonic walk ups and chromatic walk downs?
Yes I have posted some information in your forum thread and I can incorporate more of this in my future seminars.
Cheers,
Hayden
Great session. Would be great to have a mini chord
guide to the diatonic endings in four or five keys.
Glad you enjoyed the session Michael.
I will upload a PDF file of the diatonic endings.. great idea.
I did also reply to a forum post here with more examples of the walk up, I think you will find it useful: pianogroove.com/community/t/walk-ups-and-walk-downs/5792
Cheers,
Hayden
