Hi,
Just me or no sound?
Hayden says
Hi Sylvie 👋🏻
The sound issue is now fixed. The audio was playing as mono, and not stereo, and with some speakers this will result in no sound.
I have re-exported the audio as stereo, added the light-up keyboard, and also added the seminar chapters so you can easily navigate the information presented.
Apologies for the delay and enjoy the seminar!
Cheers,
Hayden

right on Hayden,
this looks fantastic, thank you for the extra effort now we can all go ‘non linear’.
I have to recommend this excellent paper written by Jovino, not sure which of his lessons this was attached to but it is a “must-read” as Jovino reveals solid evidence on how to approach his colorful world of chords.

When you discuss triad options in this lesson and other ones does this include triad extensions? What does it exclude?. I wish you would write out some examples of how you play these triads. Thanks

Hi Edwin 👋🏻
Hope you’re well!
Jovino has created a dedicated course on Triad Improvisation, you can find that here:
https://www.pianogroove.com/bossa-nova-lessons/brazilian-improv-course/
There are many downloads in that course if you scroll down on the course page and they show how to apply the triads to different chord types and colours.
I would also recommend this lesson which discusses the application of triads from a more harmonic standpoint: https://www.pianogroove.com/bossa-nova-lessons/triads-harmony-upper-structures/
Finally Jovino hosted a seminar on triad options a few weeks ago, here it is: https://www.pianogroove.com/live-seminars/expand-chords-by-connecting-triads/ and you will find more downloads in the comments on that page.
I hope that helps Edwin and let me know if i can be of further assistance.
Cheers,
Hayden

Love the concepts, as most of Jovino’s vast experience is jaw dropping. Unfortunately without the midi note letters above the keyboard these very desirable seminars are ephemeral, barely any of his content sticks.
I know it takes time to do post processing, have been waiting on this one for 3 weeks, but still its a veritable wonder as to what keys/notes he is so elegantly pressing. While immensely wonderful, I have no hope of recreating without additional tools for learning.

Hi Michael 👋🏻
Sincere apologies for the delay here.
I have now added the light-up keyboard and synced everything together. You will also see 14 chapters on the right hand side so that you can quickly revisit the concepts that interest you the most.
Using the slow down controls in combination with the light-up keyboard and note names; you should have no problem picking up the voicing techniques and principles which Jovino shares.
Again please excuse my tardiness in adding the light-up keys, it’s been a crazy busy few weeks…. A (jazz)man’s work is never done 😅
I hope you enjoy rewatching the seminar and talk to you soon!
Cheers,
Hayden
