“There Will Never Be Another You” Comping Voicings
Welcome to this comping study on the tune “There Will Never Be Another You”. This is a great tune for beginners as it contains the most common progressions and cadences such as:
- major 251s
- minor 251s
- the backdoor 251
- the 36251
It’s important to be able to play over these common progressions in a variety of styles including simple 4 note comping voicings, drop 2 and Barry Harris voicings, bigger 2 handed rootless voicings, and upper structure triads.
